In today’s ever-evolving media landscape, storytelling has expanded beyond traditional methods, offering us countless ways to share and consume stories. There's text, video, animation, audio—you name it! At Wishbox Media this month, we're embracing this diversity with multiple projects: Our ongoing work on a film documentary, a photo story inspired by The New York Times "One in 8 Million" series, a feature story combining text and audio, and dynamic motion graphics.
As we explore these innovative storytelling methods, we invite you to reflect on your favorite way to consume a story. Are you an avid podcast listener? Speaking of podcasts — Arabic podcasts, in particular, are making significant strides. Who’s leading the charge? Is it Saudi Arabia or Egypt? We delve into what’s trending and ponder the future of this growing medium.
Additionally, I find inspiration in various aspects of running a company, from marketing to focusing on product development, from Steve Jobs' timeless wisdom. His insights continue to resonate, with countless clips circulating on the internet.
Stay tuned as we uncover the latest trends, share valuable insights, and celebrate the art of storytelling in all its forms.
Best wishes,

💡 What we've been up to
📄 With the upcoming elections in Jordan, we have worked on an in-depth report on Jordanian women's participation in parliament, titled "Women's Journey to the Parliament... Challenges and Triumphs." This project was in collaboration with the French Development Agency CFI as part of the Qarib program. The report, written by journalist and Radio Al-Balad program producer Hadeel Al-Bas, was broadcast on Radio Al-Balad's "Morning Show."
🎥 Motion graphics create the illusion of motion or rotation and are often used in multimedia projects like ours this week. They complement a feature story by adding powerful visuals that both entertain and inform. Our latest motion graphic complements the in-depth elections report and illustrates the timeline of women's participation in parliament.
🪑 We’ve met with the Makanti USAID team to discuss updates on our filming and scripting of a documentary on Jordanian human rights activist Asma Khader. We're also preparing to produce an infographic. Stay tuned to see our latest design and work next month.
📽️ We’re currently working on a project dubbed the Sehes Project, supported by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. The project sheds light on art, culture, and education. We’ve finished filming in Amman and are in the process of editing short video reels. Stay tuned!
🏆 We met with the winners of the Content Innovation Fund, which we are organizing in collaboration with the International Center for Journalists. We discussed their ideas and guided them on the best ways to produce content. The staff of Sada Podcast also attended, offering podcast-producing participants a discount on Musajjel, their AI-powered app that simplifies the entire podcast production process.
